On January 16, 2026, independent label Aldora Britain Records invited David Barrett to contribute a song to its latest five-track sampler on Bandcamp. The label’s founder, Tom Hilton, asked for a single track for consideration, but David instead submitted four different songs and asked him to choose the one that best fit the project’s sound and direction.
After a month of review and preparation, Aldora Britain Records selected the song “Elvis at the End” and elevated it to the title track of the new sampler, underscoring the label’s enthusiasm for the recording and its place within the collection.
